The distinct clang of a Swiss bell rang ceremoniously through the stylish Hyatt Gallery 240 guests and sponsors of the Swiss Business Association began the joyful business of celebrating the Swiss Business Association's 22nd successful year.

A well-kept secret till the night itself, the gala theme - The Night of the Swiss Ad Eaters -- surprised and delighted in a medley of unforgettable gastronomic, musical and visual treats.

The association's Chairman Christian Pauli opened the evening with characteristic good humour leading the way towards the night's first thrill - one of three specially commissioned sets of Switzerland's most iconic and best remembered advertisements in the last 46 years.

Played on giant screens across the room, each film clip invited guests into another world as they laughed, smiled and even shed a little tear through single compositions of perfect storytelling.

A mirror of the famed original Ad Eaters cult evenings which gather thousands of advertisement enthusiasts together to watch and celebrate the world's best on the big screen, the clips were made possible by a visionary collaboration between event architect (and organiser of the associations' gala's since 2005) Claude Verly, and the charismatic founder of Ad Eaters and possessor of the biggest film advertisement library in the world, Jean Marie Boursicot.

Between delicious plates of Atlantic salmon, perfect risotto and succulent lobster, composer, artistic visionary and pianist Dr Robert Casteels together with brilliant young erhu soloist Chua Jon Lin delighted guests with their perfect musical collaboration.

To the shouts of "encore" from the inspired audience, the duo charmed guests with another vibrant set, perfectly setting the scene for giving away more than $32,000 worth of generously sponsored prizes, starting with the Caran d'Ache awards, and moving swiftly into the top ten which included a fabulous one night stay at the Conrad Hotel Presidential Suite, 2 one week holidays in Koh Samui and more.

The outstanding venue lent itself perfectly to a stunning display of post dinner cheese and desserts in the foyer, with guests lingering over wine, coffee and conversation accompanied by the smooth urban soul of Eli T, late into the night.
