I think this is why Max didnt win. He mixed to many newer dance styles with his preformence, and the whole thing is supposed to be a Charlesston competition.

Also to say Black people created the dance is just plain ignorant. They simply made a refined style of the Charlesston, called AL & Leon Style. People pick up a history book and educate yourselves before making stupid comments.

I correct myself, some of the elements of the charleston are elements of African American dance. It was reinvented to appeal to a wider audience.

Because of this dance, we have dances today called Jump Style and Frolic! The Charleston was the beginning to many of the dances we love and know today!
