@schlooonginator Yeah so if your riding in the mountains don't get the shitty shimano because your chain will be slipping all over the place and bashing into your frame the whole time.

Agree completely. I have both shimano & Sram: Shimano slx on my gt 29er and sram x7 on my sette fs xc. Although they are two different bikes, the sram x7 performs better and have less problems than the shimano.
That's my take on it.

Yes, SRAM puts bigger springs in it's derailleurs. Using more force does not necessarily make it better.
