The V&T #29 is an honorary V&T locomotive. She was the Gray's first locomotive to re-open the line, and has served on the railroad ever since the mid 1970's. I agree they need an original V&T engine, but trading the 29 is out of the question, even it they wanted to trade her. Besides, the #25 could barely pull the regular Gold Hill excursions up the 3.6% grade.

i talked to one of the mechanics that works there and they said #25 leaks oil and needs repair, so its sitting in the shed, next to the # 8 engine.
