  • Thyroid -

    General Inspection - dress, weight, axiety, hypothyroid facies or lid retraction

    Hands - tremor, acropachy, onycholysis, PULSE

    Neck - goitre, midline mass, swallow, tongue out for thyroglossal cyst

    Palpate - gland, nodules, and cervical lymphadenopathy

    Auscultate a goitre (pathognomonic of Grave's)

    Percussion for retrosternal extension

    Eye signs - proptosis, lid retraction, lid lag, ophthalmoplegia

    Reflexes - slow relaxing in hypothyroidism

    Pretibial myxoedema, prox myopathy
