@MurphyD25 no it wasnt It was written isnt ass niether is I am and some reviews even went back and redid them a few years after everyone expected him to do better than Illmatic, the greatest hip hop album ever made, and he came pretty damn close You should go listen to those albums It was written is just as good as resonable doubt

@InfamousAct Have you read the reviews for Nas' albums AFTER Illmatic? They were ass compared to Illmatic and that's what Jay was saying. Everything Jay said was factual in Takeover.

@MurphyD25 it wasnt pure facts jay said nas had one good album every 10 years when Illmatic is hailed as the GOAT hip hop album It was written is Amazing and sold 3 million copies I am sold 2 million Nastradamus was okay. when Nas says jay stole lyrics from biggie witch is true, KRS made blueprint first Eminem MURDERED him on his own shit, J used to rap fast but obviously Nas was a inspiration and he kinda started rapping like Nas, i like J but cmon Jay wanted to be Nas

Beat: Takeover, hands down.

Factual information: Takeover was PURE facts while Ether had a few facts (some that can't be proved as actual fact) and a lot of corny jokes.

Cleverness: Jay was wayyyyyy more clever. That whole 'one hot line every ten year average' line slayed Nas.

Brutality: Ether, we know why. Nas' attitude was great in Ether.

Flow: Ether

Aftermath: Both of them equally benefited from the beef, Nas' career was ressurected while it gave Jay more attention.

WINNER: Jay-Z - Takeover
