@TerranRepublic i think its a lack of teaching. public schools stoped giving a damn when it comes to teaching kids proper etiquette. like standing and taking your hat off , and not talking, when the anthem is played. or to take the fucking pledge of aligence seriously. When i was in highschool i was in Army JROTC and we had to stand at attention, full uniform and face the flag when the pledge was said over the PA system.

@csha34 my schools did the pledge every morning up until my 8th grade. i believe. couldve been 9th, but thats beside the point. and i was born in the 90s.

What do you expect when you have the government taking the pledge out of schools? You get disrespect by those who've never been taught about how to respect our flag and our great nation.
I bet that the majority of americans born in the 90's cannot even tell you the pledge off the tops of their heads. Sad... really.

It is pretty sad how many people don't respect the national anthem anymore. I don't care how out of style it ever gets, it's just plain disrespectful to leave your hat on during something like this, and when I've seen women who are bald due to chemo taking their hats off, I see no excuse for anyone else. And the people who talk during it? It is just ridiculous.
