@BeOnThatMaryJane try to keep pretending that there is a string connecting your fingers even though your hands are on top of each other... but instead of connecting horizontally between fingertips (which many people do in a normal handflow), pretend it's more of a vertical string (since your hands are on top of one another). Hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask more questions :)

Is it necessary that my fingers hurt at first?

@ronnymiguelvasquez depending on if your hands are used that type of movement, yeah sometimes your hands will get sore because you're not used to the amount of work your hands are doing. Not everyone experiences it, but some do. Something you might want to try is to experiment with how 'tense' you are holding your hands as you do handflow. Perhaps you are really tensing up when you are doing the handflow which adds to the stress.

@ronnymiguelvasquez As you practice more, however, you'll see that using different muscle tension amounts can actually make your flow look different :)

Thx for the compliment n praise be to God :) I really don't consider myself good... there's a whole bunch of people out there who are so much better. But I started to dabble in it 2001 or 2002, but didn't get serious about it until 2003.
