  • not really with tunes like Sí Bheag though, which were written not passed down orally like most traditional music. good point nonetheless

  • Traditional tunes are best learned by ear, not by sheet music =) Learning them by ear helps you get the right feel for it =)

  • very nice. you have the same wild, tribal and poetic style that i have. did you take lessons? i can't even read music; i just picked up the Irish whistle when i was a lad and never looked back. Si bheag si mhor was one of the first songs i taught myself

  • you slide your finger off, so as to play the accidentals, or sharps, in between.

  • How do you seem to be bending notes? I didn't know you could do that with a whistle.
