  • @willcott42 I don't like to use the "plane" word because every club and setup will have its own plane needed... but it is kind of one plane in that the large shoulder muscles control the arms and club on the takeaway and backswing. THE ARMS AND HANDS NEVER LIFT OR HELP. So that is somewhat of a one plane. 2nd question... the arms do not swing themselves. They are controlled by the shoulders on the backswing and then the hips & shoulders (body) on the downswing... This makes it consistent

  • Really like your instruction videos and your philosophy on the game.

Given you want relatively level shoulders and a 45degree club face angle on the takeaway would you consider this a one plane swing?

Do you like the arms swinging on the same plane as the shoulders? Thanks

  • @heatsavers Thanks for the nice comment... More videos to come as soon as summer lessons slow down..

  • Ross Your teaching is great and so simple, I once followed a young pro who was playing in the Jamega tour at my local golf course, I asked him how he got the power and he told me the hips drive the ball with the right side and finishing facing the target ,

i rembered it and when I found your videos it made it simple, this is the best way to learn the golf swing no doubt.

  • @cameltryde I think what you are saying is, that you have lost a little yardage keeping your shoulders more level? There are a few different ways to increase yardage. One... make sure you are holding your lower body still as you start the club and arms straight back using the front shoulder. The shoulders start first. The hips will rotate (not slide) a little later from the shoulder wind up. Second... make sure you start and continue the downswing with the hips. All the way to the end.

  • shots are starting to hit fairways, but rolling off 4 to 10 yards
