Hello Kitty Popcorn Fun!

[Friday 11th September 2009; Musashino, Tokyo]

Whilst searching around the department stores in Musashino, Joani, Alison and I discovered this amazing little machine! "What is it?" we asked each other. Using our basic Japanese reading skills we were able to find out it was a popcorn machine! (That and the fact that Kitty-chan was saying 'poppukoan" over and over...) So for 200yen Joani gave it a go - as she explains so well in this video....

Hi, Where Do You Find This Special Vending Machine In Japan?

This one was in the Ito Yokado department store opposite Musashisakai Station, Tokyo, Japan. I am sure there are others, but I haven't really been looking. As far as I know they are only in Japan, but I can't really say. All I know is it was my first time seeing one.

"Poppakuan" means "popcorn". Maybe. The words look similar.
