High-paid Los Angeles news reader Paul Moyer curses at former coanchor Ann Martin before going on the air. They are arguing about who will read the opening segment of the news. Moyer calls rival anchor Harold Greene "shit" and accuses Martin of being drunk.

Paul Moyer's always had the reputation of being a monumental prick with an ego the size of the QM2. He's never really been liked and I can remember the fuss that was made when he returned to the LA news from a stint in NY (I think)...his peers loathed the man and expressed it in no uncertain terms.

paul moyer is a brown noser...a lil ass kisser.if lil pauley doesn't get his way he will run to the higher ups & spill his guts...hoping that he who tattles first must be right. what a prick.ann martin is a sweetheart & lil pauley walley can't stand to be second best...especially to a woman. he's a waste of skin, and not a man.he should be handing out hand towels in the mens room, but he might enjoy that too much*

Was this actually broadcast? Moyer is one of my favorites, but he didn't seem to handle this issue professionally or with any kind of class. Be nice to have some background on their fighting.

They have apologized, and now they are really close friends. i know that because Paul Moyer's son is one of my best friends lol.

This is an interesting little insight into the LA News scene, having grown up in the area I watched both for a long time Paul came up under legendary LA anchor Jerry Dunphy & apparently 1 of the things he didn't learn was to be a pro. If he had a problem w/ann he should waited 'til after the broadcast.

As for ann martin, people who've known her or met her have all consistently had the same comment about her: A very nice lady.

I'm inclined to believe Moyer is the 1 w/the problem... his ego.
