Here is an easy Chocolate Mousse Recipe. You can serve it as a pure mousse... or, with a little extra effort, you can turn the mousse into a little work of art. :-)
You can get the full recipe guide (including a more detailed video) at http://pastryfriends.com/chocolate-mousse-recipe/

  • Was the piped spirals in between the circles the cooled mousse?

I didn't know you could pipe chocolate mousse!

  • @54Vanilla Yes, you can pipe out the mousse. Let the mousse chill just a little in the fridge. Then pipe out before it sets completely.

  • this is amazing. can't wait to try this. i never knew that egg yolks could be whipped like that :) BTW, room temperature egg yolks?

  • @foreverfreako21 Yes, egg yolks at room temperature will work best. Happy whipping... :)

  • When you spread the Chocolate Mousse onto the pan did you bake it or cooled it?

  • @BunnyNinja2005 The mousse is not baked. I spread it in the pan so that it fits into my fridge (for cooling).

  • @ShimiFalcon When you prepare the Italian meringue properly (with hot sugar syrup), it will be fine. To be 100% sure, you could use pasteurized eggs.
