Two Russian astronauts launched out on a spacewalk from the International Space Station on Tuesday.

Fyodor Yurchikhin and Mikhail Kornienko are set to spend six hours doing maintenance work outside the station in open space.

They are replacing a broken video camera for monitoring supply ships, as well as improving cables that connect the main station to the separate Russian Rassvet module -- which is used for storage and as a mini-laboratory.

This is the fourth spacewalk for Yurchikhin and the first for Kornienko.

The next space excursion is scheduled for August 5, which will be conducted by American flight engineers Tracy Caldwell Dyson and Doug Wheelock.
