Kumpania Boleyn / Gypsy Boys Danceing - Kansas City Renfest 2008

I went to the Kansas City, KS 2008 Renaissance Festival (even though it's in Bonner Springs) and recorded the gypsy boys belly dancing! I was able to get most of one performance by the maypole and a few seconds of the dance at the 'Mr. Renaissance Romance' contest. I would have recorded more, but my camera battery died during the last taping. T_T

The group is called Kumpania Boleyn, and the dancers (in no special order) are: Evgeny, slavvo, sasha, reynaldo, adi, cezar, benvolio, luca, milosh, and netotsi

wow, im Rroma, ive never seen a gypsy dance group in usa befour... are any of these guys actually Romani??? do they have a website or something?

@LelekaStesha No these are local guys that are mostly Caucasian (I could be wrong though). As far as a website, I don't think they have one. I believe that there are lots of groups like this at the Renaissance Festivals around the USA. Please check them out if you get a chance.

Ok a few things...I'm Rroma and I know all of these boys personally, I can tell you they respect our culture. they honestly do. I understand that these sterotypes are hard to over come but the boys have researched our culture and they are truly respectful of our ways, they dont understand it completely but they are working on it.
