It was my pleasure to post this. Your grandfather gave me my start in TV News and a professional 'home' to stay with for most of the next 41 years. It broke my heart to report on his death. Incidentally, I personally gave many of your grandfather's Christmas family recordings to the Wolfson Archives in 2000. They were the only known recordings to exist and were recorded on 2-inch video tape. Check with Ralph Jr. or ask him to call me if you'd like to obtain copies. He knows how to reach me! BM

"The Ralph Renick Report" - the 6-note musical theme to WTVJ Channel 4 (now NBC Channel 6). I don't think it was 1970 when that theme was released.
Also, wasn't that Renick's personal theme song?

Yes, the theme used in the clip from a Renick show WAS Renicks personal theme, but it was released in the early 1950's. That particular newscast was from 1970, when the theme was still running

Did Kelly Craig and Tom Randles replaced Hambrick and Lichtman Team?

Yes they did. The following year Randles was replaced with Tony Segreto. Shortly after, Kelly was replaced with Michelle Gillen. Michelle Gillen was later replaced by Jennifer Valoppi. Tony and Jen were together for many years, then Jennifer was replaced by Jackie Nespral. Both Tony and Jackie are still on the air, but no longer together. Nespral does the 11 solo, Segreto co anchors the 6 with Julia Yarbough.
And the beat goes on....

OMG!!! Totally a voice from my youth...wow! Such memories. His voice and that of Bob Weaver got us through hurricanes and every other bit of news. Thank you so much for posting this!
