October 3, 2011 - More than one hundred Certified General Accountants and small business owners joined the Honourable Pat Bell, Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation, and 18 of his colleagues from the Legislative Assembly for CGA-BC's MLA luncheon today.
CGA-BC believes strongly in the importance of having government leaders engage the business community in constructive discussion and debate about the issues that will affect the province's economic growth and prosperity.
"We are happy to host this event because it shows how government can be a partner with business to ensure that the economy grows, new jobs are created and revenues are raised to ensure that we have the new programs we need to succeed," said CGA-BC Chair Bruce Hurst, FCGA.
This year's event also helped kick off Small Business Month in British Columbia.

Patrick Bell, Minister of Jobs, Tourism, and Innovation; Iain Black; Jagrup Brar; Donna Barnett; Ron Cantelon; Ida Chong, FCGA, Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development; Marc Dalton; Doug Donaldson; Kevin Krueger; Eric Foster; Colin Hansen; Jenny Wai Ching Kwan; Hon.
