Mick Chatham of Calderdale Countryside Services gives lessons in hedge-laying to a small group of volunteers. Although stone walls are the commonest boundary feature in the Calderdale landscape, we have many hedgerows that have been neglected over the years. The art of hedge-laying is a disappearing skill and volunteers, once trained, will be able to help maintain these hedgerows in order to improve their bio-diversity.

  • I was just about to clear an area and start from scratch with a hedge row of Osage Orange Trees but I may just start with the existing shrubs/trees. This was a very beneficial video I to watch.

  • @TheBaldIbis but the quality of information is excellent-thank you for posting :-)
