Disney's first full-length animated classic, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", captured the hearts and imaginations of audiences in 1923. Decades later, Disney continues produce animated films that tug at our heartstrings and tickle our funny bones. This retrospective follows the decades-long library of films from a fair maiden's adventures with seven dwarfs through a film where a dog is a secret agent (or at least thinks he is) and into the future where a man becomes the king of a race of elves.

Beautiful melodies underscore the animation, animation which speaks for itself. Watch the progression of techniques and style with each installment - and spot all of your favorites within these films that have brought magic and innocence to childhood for generations.

Unfortunately, due to YouTube's restrictions, I had to splice the video.

This is part 2 of 2 parts. From "The Rescuers Down Under" through "King of the Elves."

  • This was a great video. Thanks for posting it. I'm a huge Disney fan. I couldn't help but notice that you left out a few movies though. "A Goofy Movie", "James and the Giant Peach", and "The Wild"

  • I'm glad you liked it! While those are all great films, they are not made by the 'official' Disney studio that was started by Walt - Goofy and James were made by other Disney divisions and "The Wild" was made in Canada and distributed by Disney. This film is to remember the lineage started by Walt with Snow White - Walt Disney Animation Studios.

  • You forgot WALL-E D:

    I loved that movie!!

  • WALL-E was a Pixar film, who are not the same company as Disney Animation Studios. Both are awesome, though! And WALL-E was also great!

  • The Walt Disney Company bought Pixar in 2006.

And I own the movie it says "Disney-Pixar" on the case. And WALL-E Is absolutely my favorite CGI movie ever!! :D

  • I know Disney owns Pixar, but they are still two separate studios. Maybe some day I will make a Pixar retrospective.

  • 0:14 resuers down under AWSOMEST MOVIE EVER, memories:')

  • xD I have no idea what people are saying when they say Disney movies are "bad" now. They're still as awesome as ever.

  • I love rewinding the movies, I don't know just something about it makes so much suspense if you had forgotten to after you watched it the last time you used the tape.

You're sitting there your finger on play and thinking "AHHH I wanna watch this movie alreadyy!!" as you watch it backwards
