www.ProGuitarShop.com - Retro-Sonic has perfectly replicated one of the most sought-after vintage compressors around, the gray model Ross Compressor. While an old Ross comp in good shape is both rare and expensive, the Retro Sonic Compressor is both relatively affordable and readily available. Known for its natural sounding compression and smooth attack response, this pedal can put the finishing touches on your guitar's tone. The Retro Sonic Compressor is updated with a few fresh features like an attack speed control. From ultra fast attack to a gradual swell, this pedal responds fantastically to any kind of picking style, making it a truly versatile effect. Chords will jump out at you, sounding tight and focused, while single notes sustain forever! This Compressor can also add a clean boost, perfect for putting your amp into overdrive. Made from the finest components, the Retro Sonic compressor offers low noise and incredible transparency. And of course, True Bypass is standard as well as a beefy metal enclosure. If you dig smooth, natural vintage compression the Retro-Sonic Compressor pedal might just be the thing for you. Check the video and let your earholes do the decision-making.

  • country pedal.......

  • @buffbiff21 i run my emgs at 24v because you can grab tiny 24v batteries (1/8th of the size of a 9v) off ebay

  • @buffbiff21 maybe for some purposes, but listen to/watch some of David Glimour's more clean guitar solos on pulse and bear in mind that he's using EMGs and, at times, two, even three compressors simultaneously

  • great demo mang - thanks for not just showing us how well you can play guitar like everyone else !

  • yea dude, just is the balls

  • I don't think compressors are designed to work well with EMGs, first of all because EMGs are already pretty compressed, and also they are very high output. I know Analogman recommends using higher voltages (12v-15v) when running EMGs.

  • how is Retro Sonic Compressor Gray Ross vs keelly compressor? Or is it the same thing?

  • it sounds nice... would you recommend it for soloing in punk-hardcore or ska-reggae music, with fender amp clean and distorcion sound, using an EMG 81 + EMG 85 active PUs?

    thanks in advance! =)
