In 2004 Agnetha returned to the recording studio after 17 years away to record the album My Colouring Book. She wanted to record something special for her family, friends and fans with a meaningful connection with fond memories from the past. Agnetha pays tribute to the artists who have inspired her:
"Thank you Jackie DeShannon, Doris Day, the Shangri-Las, Connie Francis, Petula Clark, Sandie Shaw, Cilla Black, Rita Pavone, Sylvie Vartan, Dusty Springfield, Demis Roussos, Simon & Garfunkel, Skeeter Davis, Cliff Richard, Paul Anka, the Beatles, Beach Boys, Neil Sedaka, Brian Hyland, Grace Kelly , Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and many many more. You are all deep within my heart and will stay there forever. "
There was no public promotion for the new album. Agnetha held a party for the album release at Bern's in Stockholm in April 2004, attended by 150 friends and relatives. Her daughter Linda Ulvaeus was there, she recorded back-ups on several of the songs along with Sofia Tretow (Michael's daughter) and Svea Strings.
Agnetha's comments for Remember Me are:
"Sandie Shaw, the barefoot singer, may be best known for 'Puppet On A String'. She has such a special way of singing, and she's one of my many role models."
Would we still remember her after 17 years away? The public soon gave their answer. The album topped the charts in Sweden, reached the top 5 in many European contries and no. 12 in the UK. It sold 500,000 copies worldwide, 50,000 of those in the UK alone. Welcome back Agnetha, we will certainly never forget you!
Here she is back where she belongs, in action in the studio, giving everything to the performance as she always does. Its clear she enjoyed making this comeback album.

Lyrics and music: Chris Andrews

As you walk from my side, the tears I try to hide
Are running down my cheek, I find it hard to speak
This is our last goodbye, but darling will you please

Remember me from time to time, the one who loves you
Remember me from time to time, I won't forget you
Oh please remember me, and I'll remember too

I watch you walk away, but in my mind you stay
An everlasting dream, to me you've always been
And please don't turn around as you walk away

Remember me from time to time, the one who loves you
Remember me from time to time, I won't forget you
Oh please remember me, and I 'll remember too

Remember me from time to time, the one who loves you
Remember me from time to time, I won't forget you
Oh please remember me, and I 'll remember too
I remember so please remember...

  • Yes Agnetha is just as good here as we remember her after 17 years away!

  • Oh lovely agnetha. Her voice still young and clean.

  • Yes you're right, Agnetha's singing voice is very clear and sounds better than ever despite not performing for 17 years. And she's still a fantastic looking lady at 53 here!

  • Yes, we remember you - und ob!!!!!

    Sie ist einfach großartig

  • she definately needs a 2011/2012 album to show today's singers , actually how to sing for starters .. and to show emotion in music =)

  • Agnetha!!'

I remember you not from time to time but every moment and will remember forever

  • We miss you Agnetha.

  • @Titan52berg You cannot deny the FACT that she had an affair with her fan, an ugly perverted man whose house did not have running water and toilet - a place where Agnetha "felt home" as she wrote in a letter... I am sorry, but I cannot have any respect for a woman like her.... And if you do not call this mentally sick, than what?

  • @maulfick She is no cheaper than you for making such caustic remarks. She is extremely intelligent and gifted with the voice of an angel.... and YOU need to look into a mirror to see someone who is really 'mentally sick.'

  • I am exausted (weathered and worn) and I must be able to get to rest; away from that which intruded upon us. But I will always be around, however long I exist.

  • @maulfick

go listen to Justin Bieber if you have a problem.

  • you cant just go in a studio these days, record a few songs, and expect them to be hits, problem with agnetha is that she wont do any international interviews, she wont do any traveling either to publisise her work, she is not committed in any way, shape or form
