【本報訊】魚翅、刺身，是港人喜好食物，環保組織亞洲善待動物組織女成員變身性感「美人魚」，上身幾乎全裸，昨在尖沙嘴碼頭示威，為魚類發聲，呼籲停止捕殺。
來自加拿大的 25 歲美人魚 Ashley Fruno （圖），上身只有肉色胸圍，下身穿貼身褲及魚尾，手持「釣魚？魚也會痛！」標語。 Ashley 說：「最近《 Fish and Fisheries 》期刊引用有關魚類智慧研究論文，證明魚其實很聰明，有驚人記憶力，被釣起或被魚網撈起時，能感受恐懼憂傷。」
在場圍觀的協恩中學中二學生表示，最愛吃三文魚刺身，看到 Ashley 的呼籲，以後會減少吃刺身。

@sapphirekat actually, we don't. certain nutrition that human need come only from the flesh, well, at least large quantity of them. being veg is not really that healthy. you see, there are herbivores, like cows. there are carnivores, like lions. and we humans are omnivores. that means humans need both meat and veggie to survive. what you think we humans eat the flesh for fun? you think at the time when our ancestors were hunter and gatherers they had the time to eat for fun?
