Tandem gets clobbered

Just arrived at Tapalpa to see the only wing there take off with a tandem passenger. Time of day 12:30, thermic. Starts to fly and doing great then goes just above launch at apex of hill and gets clobbered with some turbulence. Takes full frontal, partially recovers, then full stall, recovers then surges at which time we got the camera started...all ended well no injury. Pilot did well to try and recover. Close call though..One school kid passenger has a story to tell his friends. Talked to the pilot the day after hen my girlfriend flew with him at the end of the week. All good!

This is Me.

Miguel Lopez, My 1rst time I throw reserve in flight No 721. on january the 27 of 2007, this was a calm moment during flight. after few seconds of trying to recover of some wing deflation during flight I could not recover to contol my paraglider, so when I saw my low altitud I decide to trow my reserve wich deployed in less than 4 seconds!! landing very smooth and very close to the launching zone at Tapalpa. GOOD HELPED ME. THANKS A LOT
