It seems like some bands make great music while they're all hooked on heroin. When they get clean their music sucks. I'm not saying heroin makes you a better songwriter, but they seem to lose something when they give up the drugs.

Heroin must give the ultimate high for most to get addicted to it is all i can say. I know what morphine feels like, valium, ativan, and anesthesia stuff feels like, and if that's what heroin feels like, then yeah, i can see where it'd get addicting. At the hospital in the past, they'd send that morphine through my i.v., and holyyyyy shiiitttt! LOL , you'd feel it Fast!!

Many bands had creativity before they started using drugs and once they became hooked it opened up a different, often more creative, way of thinking. After they quit using (if they were lucky enough to make it out alive), the drugs severely damaged their brains and eventually the brain becomes dependent on drugs and they loose the ability to come up with these things on their own.
