@lukat93 He enters clay events most of the year which really boost his ranking. If you see the tournaments hes won/runner up this year they are all clay events. Hes def top 5 in clay, anywhere else is meh.

how is he a top 10 player without ever playing a role in a grand slam or masters

@goodnewiri I agree -- Nadal-Murray was better than this. Nadal-Federer wasn't as good as Nadal-Murray but it was also high quality. Federer-Monfils was okay.

If Almagro had better physical fitness and better footwork (and speed) he would definitely be a top 8 player.

these two trained together when they were 12. my coach also trained with them. he could beat almagro at the time but never nadal.

@megatennisfan1692 almagro is much better on clay than Monfils and Söderling.
Soderling is playing very bad at the moment not worthy of a top 10 spot
