Selena-(walking down the street) (checking her mail)
Nick-(walking out of his house) is there anything there for me? (smirks)
Selena-(looks at him) no (half-smiles) hey
Nick-(smiles) hey (throws away his trash)
Selena-chores?
Nick-i guess you can say that
Selena-(gets her mail)
Nick-so how was school?
Selena-it was good...i only have about two months of school left (smiles)
Nick-well that's nice
Selena-yup...how was your day?
Nick-pretty good actually...didn't have school today so I decded to stay home and cook dinner
Selena-cook dinner? You cook?
Nick-(nods) yes, shocked?
Selena-a little (thinks about David for a bit) (looks at Nick) are you any good?
Nick-I'm pretty decent, you know not amazing but not bad
Selena-(sarcastic) i'm sure
Nick-well if your so skeptical...why don't you come over for dinner and find out for youself?
Selena-I don't think your girlfriend would like that (smirks)
Nick-what she doesn't know won't hurt her
Selena-(lets out a small laugh) you're actually scared of your girlfriend?
Nick-no, but I don't want her to get upset either
Selena-well then I just won't come over for dinner, you know so your girlfriends feeling won't get hurt
Nick-non-sense Selena, just come over
Selena-what are you making?
Nick-it's a surprise (smirks)
Selena-(half-smiles) what time?
Nick-dinner is usually around 6:30 but if you want you can a little earlier, you know help me out (smiles)
Selena-I don't cook
Nick-it's ok, you can watch
Selena-well then, i'll be there around 5 sound good?
Nick-(nods) perfect
Selena-(smiles and walks inside her house)
(TWO HOURS LATER)
Selena-(knocks on Nick's door)
Nick-(opens the door)
Selena-(smiles) hey
Nick-(smiles back) hey (steps aside)
Selena-(walks in)
Nick-(closes the door)
Selena-(looking around) I don't think i've ever really been in here before (looking around)
Nick-well then welcome to my home (smiles)
Selena-(smiles back)
Nick-come on let's go to the kitchen (walks away)
Selena-(follows him) it smells really good
Nick-thank you (starts chopping vegetables)
Selena-need any help?
Nick-sure you can chop the potatoes if you'd like
Selena-ok (gets a knife and starts to chop the potatoes)
Nick-so...
Selena-so?
Nick-have you...spoken to Taylor?
Selena-(surprised by his question) yes
Nick-well, how did it go?
Selena-it went fine, why?
Nick-just wondering...so by fine, you mean dating?
Selena-(lets out a small laugh) no...i told him that I didn't want to get involved with him
Nick-(surprised) (looks at her) (cuts himself by accident) fuck! (looks at his finger which is now bleeding)
Selena-(surprised) you ok? (turns on the sink and grabs his hand while washing his finger)
Nick-i'm fine, just stings a little
Selena-stop being such a baby
Nick-(chuckles)
Selena-do you have bandaids?
Nick-(nods) right drawer
Selena-(opens the drawer and gets a bandaid) (turns off the sink and grabs nick's hand)
Nick-(looking down at his finger) it's pretty deep
Selena-yeah (wraps the bandaid and wraps it around his finger) there
Nick-(looking at it)
Selena-(smiles and looks at him)
Nick-(looks at her) thank you
Selena-no problem
Nick-(smiles)
Selena-(smiles back) well I think we should get back to chopping these vegetables
Nick-(nods) right
Selena-and be more careful
Nick-(chuckles) i can do that
Selena-good (half-smiles and continues chopping the potaotes)
Nick-(looks at her for a bit) (half-smiles) (grabs the knife and rinses it and then continues chopping)
(AN HOUR LATER)
Nick-(eating)
Nick's Grandmother-Nick, Selena this is really good (smiles)
Selena-(smiles back) thank you but Nick was the one that cooked
N.Grandfather-well whoever did it, it's really good
Nick-(smiles)
N.Grandfather-so Selena what school do you go to?
Selena-the one down the highway, i'm about to graduate though
N.Grandmother-oh you're still in high school, i thought you were around Nick's age
Selena-no i'm a few years younger
N.Grandmother-(smiles) I didn't know my grandson had eyes for younger girls
Nick-(eyes widen) Grandma
Selena-(half-smiles)
Nick-selena isn't my girlfriend, Lucy is...remember?
N.Grandmother-right...i guess I was hoping you two were done
Nick-(rolls his eyes)
N.Grandmother-besides I like Selena (smiles at her)
Selena-(smiles back) thanks but Nick and I are just friends....really good friends actually
N.Grandfather-what a shame (smiles and finishes eating) well this was really good but I have to go and finish some work (gets up) it was really nice meeting you Selena (smiles)
Selena-(smiles back) it was nice meeting you too sir
