On Monday 25th June 2007, most of the UK was hit by torrential rain, this is what I saw on the train home.
The train tracks were completely covered by the flooding

hydroplaning can only really happen with rubber tires. A train is so heavy that i don't think it would even float in a lake(not sure if someone has ever tried to test it so yea). the flange(inside part of the wheel) keeps the train on the tracks with no chance of it coming off easily.

  • Row row row your train gently down a stream!

  • looks lyk a river

  • Yeah. Almost exactly.

Also there was a Thomas The Tank Engine episode of a similar incident.
