Great review. I am trying to figure out how to play this game and the rules are very confusing and are very lacking. Do you know of any sample plays that exist online for britannia? That would help so much in learning this game.

I think you're wrong about how overrun works.
"If the moving armies outnumber the opposing forces by more than two to one, the EXCESS armies may move through the area without stopping."
So in your example, two Roman legions would need to stop and fight in the southernmost province for the other to be able to move through.

I have played this game far too many times, i find the new verson better than the old verson.
I guess i have passed 50 games with the new verson, and about 70 games with the old AH verson
