Fifth Gear: VW Touareg Tows A 747

update on my post!! from whatr other posters have said it is a movie prop plane for the film Casino Royale. If this is true then it is stripped of engines and electronics and about everything else. it must be close to half wieght of a usable plane.

looks fake to me, Boeing never made a 747 wilh two engines on one pod and the windows on the upper desk are wrong also the rear of the engines are not correct also. I would love talk to the producer of the show and actually see the supposed jet they used

To my mind of course vw is the best. They made the best and biggest thinks in the worlds of engines.

This Tourag has 0-60 in 7.6 seconds and top speed 140mph. Not bad!

Well there is a difference between 7.3L and 5L engine, so comparing them is like comparing Audi R8 to Subaru Impreza.
Btw Audi Q7 6L V12 TDI got 1000 Nm of torque, straight from factory so the Touareg isn´t the most powerful "in Europe" as you said. And Power is a unit for kW not the Torque, so European got the more powerful car, at least street legal so don´t be throwing the dragsters in my face, I know they got 8000HP. Don´t be blinded by the love of your country.

Basically 737 lb of torque from a 6.0 V12? We've got I6 engines that can make that power. The Q7 isn't even an SUV, it's a joke. I'm sure Audi can make a proper SUV but due to Europe being full of eco panzis they are held back and all their engines are runed more towards economy. Also, a 7.3 vs. a 5.0? It doesn't matter, that VW has 10 cylinders while a 7.3 Powerstroke has 8 and can make just as much power.

Q7 V12 is better. 1000Nm yeah

why put that in a vw?
