3 very similar scenes from 3 different films, all depicting Jennifer Connelly as an archetypal image of a woman standing on a pier. The movies are "Dark City", "Requiem for a Dream" and "House of Sand and Fog". I always wondered if that was a coincidence or something more.
This image speaks of the dream; the deepest desire in each of us, the thing we hold to be true. It is the prize we crave above all else - but it will always be illusive. A dream can never become a reality.

Dark City is one of the best movies ever made in the history of this universe.

That's pretty surreal.

once when i was around 11 or 12, i had a dream that i was walking through a pier... not quite like these ones but... i dont know... maybe this is some archetype or the so-called "primordial image" found deep into our collective unconscious... (or maybe i'm just going mad)...
anyways the pier scene from "Dark City" is perhaps the most beautiful scene (along with the soundtrack) i've ever seen in my entire life... Alex Proyas rules!!

This niche-typecasting is almost as hilarious as when Jodie Foster went through her "distressed-women-trapped-in-small-spaces" phase! I'm disappointed that more people have not viewed this video!
