We are not ARYANS but ARYA which actually means NOBLE, as for the name of our country its ARYAVARTA which literally means 'Land of the Arya'. But it refers only to the land north of the Vindhya range. The southlands were called Dakshinavarta or Dakshinatya. The whole country was also called Jambudwipa.
