I love the Springfield 03 rifle
-
The Marines could swap rifles with their German antagonists in Belleau Wood and the outcome would be unchanged.

where's the M1 Garand?
-
The 1903 springfield was not the dominant rifle. It was the Pattern 1917 Rifle, the "US version" of the Pattern 1914 Enfield. Often it is regarded more practical than the 03 Springfield because it was simpler and had better sights.

uk is marginally as fat as mexico and thats really saying something
-
@rbnsc1 haha, thats so funny. So, how are those fish and chips? Fattening? Worse than McDonalds? I think so. Are they able to kill you with those rifles easily on the battlefield? Most definately.

@McMuffin103 lol sounds pretty much exactly the same as the told me when they convinced me to sign up aswell. the ideology that soldiers should blindly following orders died after ww2. and i still dont see why you think the usmc is superior.... i never got to work with any americans in afghan but i heard some pretty wierd stories.
-
@catbearlol Well I daid that 1. because The Marines are the branch I'm enlisting in 2. because you said they were not superior, which they are 3. I never said the rest of our military wasn't powerful as hell, What I meant was that the Marines are the best ground troops trainable. Yes there are countries that have harder training, but those countries are countries where the soldier isn't supposed to have his own thoughts. Marines are unique in organization and train to adapt, improvise, overcome.
