Autosnelweg A27 through the Utrecht province, bypassing the city of Utrecht. This video runs from interchange Everdingen (A2) to interchange Eemnes (A1). It is one of the busiest roads in the Netherlands.

Recorded: Wednesday October 12th, 2010

  • Traffic seems very intensive . Driving must be quite tiring with such high amount of cars around you.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • @CAMINOANDALUZ This was recorded around 13.00 hours, thus the least busy time of the day. :-S It's a nightmare during rush hour. Usually the traffic jam is 15 - 20 kilometers long.

  • 2:01 - Nice job by the driver of that yellow monstrosity. *sarcasm* :-D

Nice video, Chris. Love those Dutch roads.

  • @Bryant5493 That was an ambulance, but obviously not in a hurry, so I didn't understand that move. Being in an ambulance, that doesn't mean you can cut off people for no reason.

  • @njam101 Actual location is in the Lachenaie neighbourhood of Terrebonne, Quebec.

  • @Intrepidity The lighting is on a short stretch. Otherwise along the freeway it is tall mast lighting and other typical tall streetlights. I'm not sure why this type of lighting was chosen for this particular stretch. Maybe just to test it? There is a lot of development going on in the area with a new Walmart, Best Buy and many other large box stores. No reason to warrant a different type of lighting.

  • Love the train overpasses... that would have been ironic had that ambulance caused an accident...

  • @aswchris

Oh, okay. I agree, that gives no one license to cut you off. Sometimes, folks feel "entitled," you know?

  • Dat Viaduct in het begin lijkt erg op dat van de E314 bij Leuven. Mooi filmpje en mooie weg.

  • @njam101 That type of lightling could be found on a lot of highways in the Netherlands about 15-20 years ago, but is now being replaced on each section that is upgraded or windened. Too bad, i like it.
