Hi guys i like the idea however, i think what you have done really is used a whole bunch of kit you would have in a gym anyway, so why buy the sandbell to do the same exercise? The slide section of your video was of interest to me as you demonstrated how the dolly was able to go on a normal surface such as carpet or rubber floor and your sandbell had to be used on a polished wooden floor such as a lifting platform so high lighting a negative aspect of your kit.

I really think it's great what you're doing for the gay community! Keep it up!

To me the glaring weakness of your video (& maybe your product) is in the "sandbell vs. kettlebell" comparison -- especially when you're calling it a sandBELL! No offense, but your face-off at 2:03 was laughable. If sandbells really can reproduce classic KB exercises like swings and high pulls, please demonstrate it in a meaningful way. I read your comment above (to "MachineShop"), but don't make us take your word for it.

What is the surface made out of?

I like your training, I like the looks of your gym and I'm sure the sand thing has it's place but can't see them taking off anytime soon.

seems like the main advantage that sandbag has over kbell is that you can throw it on the floor and not damaging anything.... though looks good and if the price is not too bad... thumbs up..

Love the song starting at 1:23 what is it called??

Check out their steelbell ... just became available from performbetter in their catalog and online store. Filled with steel shot it gets very dense and heavy. You can be super aggressive in your kettlebell moves with them too since they are so safe
This is an interesting idea, and I'm definitely a huge fan of sandbag training in general, but aside from sandbags not actually being able to emulate the characteristic movement of a kettlebell, it doesn't appear as though you're even using a kettlebell in the video...? It looks like a rubberized medicine ball with a handle built in, and a comically light one at that.

It was the only kettlebell that we had at the time, and they are light. If you grab a 20-50lb SandBell, you will see that the SandBells emulate the movement of the kettlebells - except that the SandBell also makes you grip into the bag while sand stays inside your hand. Also, it is much safer for the arms and legs as you swing. Plus, if you bash it against your knee or wrist - no worries... We hope you give them a try someday!
