And to think, I used to wear that piece-uh shit (sorry, 'scuse my.....arabic). I always knew during my brief time in the Romish church that something was fishy about claiming that this set of brown cloths could save you from hellfire if you were wearing it when you died. This scapular is the real blasphemy; not what that forevercomescrashing bloke is advocating.

@forevercomescrashing Calm down you radical fundie Papist. Sorry, the early Reformation and Inquisition periods in which you could "destroy" us horrid dissenters, us "BIGGOTED SONS OF WHORES" for daring to question the scriptural-ness or reasonableness of Romish doctrines are LONG OVER. We evil, wretched, "blasphemous" Protestants are here to stay. I dare you to try to come and kill us. You try it, and everyone in the world will turn on your pathetic institution. C'mon, pull it.

What is the difference in wearing the Brown Scapular and it saving you no matter what and when Jesus says in new testament Once saved always saved... it's same thing both are condoning that if you back slide it don't matter cause you saved as long as you do either...

Thats a dodge...

"Magical protection"? That wouldn't pass an introductory class in Catholicism. You can always tell where the enemies of the faith come from when the first words out of their mouths is so obvious a lie. What the devotion to the Brown Scapular is...and what it clearly is not, is readily available and well known to all who faithfully wear it. That truth, is completely different then what you claim of the scapular.

Multiple Modern Mistranslations-onlyism is founded on the foolish modernist error that translation committees of contempo twits are doing people a favor by palming off their deliberate or incompetent mistranslations of ancient (often corrupt Alexandrian) texts into inferior, misleading, and incorrect English spuriously as if it were the "bible."
As a matter of historical fact, the King James Bible is the Holy Scriptures, preserved by the LORD and verbally inerrant in English.
-
@jjpetkusiii Actually many people have found errors in the KJV, however you have come up with conspiracy theories and think the Catholic Church has corrupted all texts except it. There's probably a psychological reason behind your need to believe that the KJV is inerrant and inspired, but I'm now too bored to bother anymore.
-
No one (including the AV1611 translators, by the way) in history has ever produced any linguistic or historical fact that proves an error, omission, or addition in the translated Biblical text of the AV1611. That reality constitutes clear prima facie proof of the plenary verbal inerrancy of the King James Bible in fully legible English today.
With your popish obscurantism, you are missing the point.
When (if ever) were you convinced that you are a lost sinner bound for hell?
-
@jjpetkusiii Clearly you are not aware of what constitutes proof of divine preservation. You need to demonstrate why earlier English bibles were not protected, for example, why didn't Wycliffe's or Tyndale's translation get divine inspiration? Also why is it that God has condemned those who do not speak English? Many languages only have one translation and it's not based on the TR or KJV.
This isn't an issue if you say the KJV is just the best, but you're trying to say it's divinely inspired.

@catholicexodus I don't know if you must die holy. considering we are human that would be a stretch considering we sin alot. state of grace, well that would be nice but I doubt that will happen either. the whole point is to strive to be that way. does it always happen? no it doesn't. the scapular itself is a remebrance of thought to be pure in thoughts and most of all to be humble. does that always happen? does it mean if you wear the scapular you will automatically go to heaven? no again.
To catholicexodus, in your opinion, exactly what religion is the True Church of Jesus Christ and why? Seem to always boil down to the infamous Authority question, who has it? Please avoid generalities...thank-you....

@MegaMantim Who has the authority? Jeses...the word. Not men, that's for sure.

Why dont you focus on your own spirituality and connection with god, for it is not for you to judge weather these people are coming sin or not. Judge and you shall be judged. For Jesus himself told us to have respect even for the ones who celebrate new moon rituals. He was referring to the pagans, and even though this is not voodoo, if it was it is not for you to decide if I'm going to hell or not for practicing it. So if I am going to hell for wearing my scapular then I might just see you ther

@maxluvsmathewlush 2ch 8:13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
