I'd just like to point out that as old as belly dancing can be, it is certainly not the oldest form of dance. Humans have been dancing si ce the beginning of time and most likely not belly dancing since it's too advanced for the life model they were living in. I'd say any tribes' dance (mainly in Africa) is what most likely look to be the oldest kind of dance even though it probably evoluated withing the thousands of years.
