"ship of fools" -- in this case a sort of metaphor for how dysfunction in certain businesses will cause their demise...The shipmates were assembled (toys on hand) and the lunatic captain took his place. Not all of the original crew were able to make the final voyage due to physics (too much weight topside) so a few were relegated to the shore. The boat remained slightly top heavy but the lunatic captain ordered them to set sail anyway. The moral of the story? ...I can think of a few...how about you?
