Nakheed canceled all other mega projects and Nakheed Tower. I think Burj Dubai will be the tallest for at least a decade, and maybe two if the Chinese don't make one taller in the coming 20 years

@ReiAyanami4ever seriously?? what about all those listed future projects..like those candle flame looking buildings ..and other projects like burj alam for eg? will they be done? ..im sure the design team behind them are still very much keen on the projects.

Currently there is no other taller project approved for construction. Many around 600m+ are getting built or will be built in the near future though, like Shanghai tower, the complex in Mekka and Tokyo Sky Tree. If no building taller than the Burjj starts in the next couple of years, it will hold the record for at least a decade, taking into account construction time.
