Learn to read music, learn basic 7th chords(5 for each key) in every key, this can be done out of most basic jazz theory books. Start by playing melody and bass note alone, then go to melody/RH and bass note-7th/LH. Memorize melody completely so you can play it with eyes closed. then add 3rd of chord in left or experiment with adding chord tones to RH melody. If you follow this, by that time your ear should take over and teach you to play the tune. Listen to great performances as well.

Hello, I want nothin more in life as to learn to play that song on piano just like you do..My Brother died in 2000, at just 18. We had this song played at his funeral- YOU PLAY IT JUsT THE WAY I LIKE IT- and yes it could go jazzy- But it's exceptional elegant and In my opinion perfect- I've heard so many versions, every style...
I just don't have anyone in my life that can teach me- I have been playing piano for nine years by ear.. If you know of anyway I can learn it..We should connect

Very nice. I think I'll start playing some pop songs; much easier. I suck at fast classical pieces.
