Released: Sept. 23, 1939. Bob Bruce narrates, Tex Avery is the timberwolf, Sara Berner is a chicken. Johnny Johnsen did the backgrounds. "All Through the Night" morphs into "Shovin' Right Off For Home" in the open. The Sonja Henie caricature was also used in Avery's "Hollywood Steps Out" in 1941.

  • @fromthesidelines Yeah, that's really one major drawback of these cartoons from the 1930s and early 1940s. They're so full of dated pop-culture references that if the viewer doesn't know anything about those particular eras, half the jokes are going to go right over his or her head!
