how long did you wait for your liver? My mother needs one. She is in stage for liver disease with hep c and she is on the list.

Lucky you. I hate surgery.

Good luck to you all... wow, that's impressive.

I had my liver transplant in Aug. of 2010, 10 months ago. There were complications with my surgery and was in the hospital for a month and had a second surgery after 20 days. It was 6 hrs (same as transplant) and was told as complicated as first surgery. I am doing well and my transplant coordinator says that it should last about 20 + years, I'm 51 so that's plenty.

@rosesxkill Hi, Meanwhile one year has passed after your liver transplantation. Are you feeling completely healthy, you can eat what you want and the medication you take against repelling the new liver make problem for you?
