If you Skateboard, chances are you have had a Jim Phillips Graphic. Santa Cruz... Jim Phillips. Independent Trucks Logo... Jim Philips. Slime Balls, OJ Wheels, Roksopp, Natas, Olson, Hosoi... Jim Phillips. And Remind Insoles of course. The List goes on... Jim Phillips is the reason why there is colorful graphics on skateboards these days. without Jim, who knows the direction where skateboarding would have gone. Jim tells us a little bit about the progressions of skateboard art in the 80's and how it got to full deck graphics.

  • one of the artists that got me into creating art. Phillips is badass!

  • 1:16 SANTA F*** EM!

  • @HumanslaughterhouseX I own a reissued Rob Roskopp Face, and it's my favorite board I've ever owned. Great for cruising, and for commuting. But I mostly use it for the pool. Damn does it shred. Got some slidy Road Riders on it. Gonna get some 85a Rat-Bones. :)

  • Without Jim Phillips,

SANTA CRUZ wasn't that big a deal.

    With him, they ruled.

    Jim Phillips forever!
