Close Lightning Strike Hit

I am taking video of a thunderstorm here in Muscatine, Iowa. I take multiple videos but this one is out of the ordinary. A lightning bolt strikes 10 feet in front of me while I'm outside.

Yeah, that's a ghost reflection of the channel. No doubt about it. You would have heard the thunder the second it struck if it were that close.

Sorry friend but that was a ghost leader. Its just your camera playing tricks on ya. Lol if it was ten feet in front of you, you would have been messed up real bad! Nice video though.

That's a nice shot! I forget what those are called..leaders or something like that, but it's like the lightning is finding its target, and then comes the actual strike..nice shot though!

it didnt strike behind the car.. the camera messes up and shows the off distance picture like its closer when its lightning

it was called a step leader as you can tell it never made it but only 5 to 10 feet off the ground but boy if it would have conected it sure woulda had one hell of a concution you wouldnt be standing there holding the camera you would have been knocked on your but

If you pause at 0:16, it looks like the lightning is comming up from the ground
