  • How does the mic mate sound for recording musical instruments?? Im planning on using a at2020 so i know thats good but is the sound quality on the mic mate good enough for home recording some music?

  • @Overwatch93 Never recorded anything but voice. Maybe someone else can answer this one.

  • Im new to this music thing. Hey. I need your help. I have a question about this.. I recently bought this mic and hooked it up to my pc.. Do you have to have a preamp and mixer or no.. Or do you have to have a music program to use it?? Please I really need your help (:

  • @drummking15 You don't need a preamp at all, and you don't NEED a music program. Technically I just used the website youtube with the hardware I was talking about.

  • wow... first time ive stumbled across a video where i knew someone....Gaston from Beauty and the Beast (Bradley Playhouse Summer of 2008)

I was one of 2 percussionists. (Tyler Campbell)

Thanks for the review! think I'm picking this one up.

  • @TCsOuPxX Great to hear from you Tyler!

  • I've heard tests of the 2020 which were generally good, but for some reason in this review it sounds pretty bad imo.. particularly the muffled buzz when you're singing.

Is this to do with your setup, is the mic not suited to your voice type, or is this completely in my head?

  • Weird!

Your Mic is great and your camera is pretty bad.

    So thats weird!

  • @Overwatch93 If you want to record musical instrument you should use NT1-A mic by RODE

  • @ShattaZone it doesnt come with one. you have to buy it separately, but I bout them all together in a package on Amazon. my bad for misleading you guys

  • lol

  • The mic distorts when he hits the loudest notes, I've seen this mic around n hear it's good for podcasting but only halfway decent on vocals for music production.

  • so the computer auto matically recognizes the mic and mxl mic mate?
