The Irish language and culture is really amazing; even after I have seen so many other ones from around the world. So I thouroughly enjoyed a week at Oideas Gael's language and culture course in Gleann Cholm Cille, Donegal, Ireland. I made this video (in the style of a documentary) to show what it was like from my eyes. If you enjoyed it check out more of my videos on my blog at http://www.irishpolyglot.com

@soar1111 You're a vile person, it's the likes of you that should be deported. President McAleese is a dignified ambassador to all things Irish. How many words can you string together in Irish?

@Sportymike SHE IS A TRAITOROUS JEW WHORE, WHO SUPPORTED THE ERADICATION OF THE IRISH RACE BY IMPORTING OVER A MILLION IMMIGRANTS, SHE FRATERNIZES WITH THE LIKES OF MASS MURDERING SCUMBAGS LIKE KISSINGER ROCKEFELLERS, AND THE GLOBAL RULING ELITE, SHES AS IRISH AS THE QUEEN OF ENGLANDs SHITE!!! A JEW WHORE!!!

No one gets kicked out for speaking english. you are encouraged to use you what ever Gaelic you have. It's a great place to learn Irish Gaelic whatever your level of knowledge. I've been there on three different occasions you won't find friendlier tutors.

@JamesPlaysGames95 Essentially it's supposed to be an immersion course, so while I do think it's extreme to toss someone out for speaking English, it does sort of destroy the immersion for others by resorting to English. Immersion though is an incredibly effective way of learning a language, though it is sort of like jumping in at the deep end. In many European countries students of English are almost exclusively taught by way of immersion, so it is quite effective. :)

i heard my friend got kicked out cause she was speaking English. wouldn't it just make sense if they thought Irish like a foreign language so it would be easier for people to understand and speak it more??
(i stopped learning irish in 5th class, because my dyslexia made me really bad at english, let alone another language.

I saw some of those classes being advertised when I was in the Gaeltacht. Absolutely beautiful. I don't know whether it's just language learners who love the fact that you can here and see the effect of Irish there, but for me it does influence the culture and reflects how those villages really haven't changed that much. I hope Irish gets stronger and that the Gaeltacht makes a comeback. Someday I will begin learning Irish :)
