Latino 101...To all the ignorant people: Latinos are not one race. Latino is a heritage not a race. Latinos can be white, black, indian or a mix of any. Many Cubans are White usually from Spaniard blood, but can include French, German, and Irish. White Latinos are still white, genetically no different than American Whites of southern European descent, they are just from Latin America. Pitbull is an American born White Latino.

So, I guess that Pitbull painted his skin white and his eyes blue then? Pitbull looks like a Spaniard. The guy is obviously pure white. Have you ever seen Perez Hilton? He's another blue-eyed Cuban who is obviously pure white. There are many pure white Cubans simply because so many Europeans migrated to Cuba.

@jrdubeau Nothing wrong with being white, I'm actually white by race, but Hispanic by culture. I'm a white Hispanic. All of my ancestors came from Spain. I'm just trying to get some of these ignorant Americans to understand that Hispanic is not a race, that we come in many different races. I am white like Pitbull. Some of us are white, some are black, some are Native American, some are mixed race, etc. Pitbull is white race, hispanic culture. He's descended from EUROPEANS!

@BelleTamiami You must not know the history of Cuba. Most Cubans are whites. The grandchildren of Spaniards from EUROPE. There was racism on the island, so whites and blacks self segregated themselves a lot. Some did mix, but most didn't. White Cubans are mainly descended from Europeans from Spain, but also other Europeans like French, Irish, Germans and Russians. Pitbull is white by race, Hispanic by culture. DALE!

@SandraBOnline He said in an interview that it was hard for him to come up because he was "white with blue eyes". He knows he is white. Maybe not white American, but he is white Hispanic-American. He is descended from Europeans, like most Cubans.

@jaystilo That's bullshit. Most Cubans are white people. Most are nothing more than Spaniards that grew up on an island. There was racism in Cuba, so blacks and whites self segregated themselves a lot. Some did mix, but most did not. White Cubans are no less white than White Americans.

Also, most white Cubans in Cuba had grandparents from Spain, so they were like Europeans growing up on an island. Most Cubans are white people. You sound like you are not familiar with Cuban history.

@nfan66 That's not true, there are more pure ones. Lots of racism back in the day in Cuba between whites and blacks. They kept to themselves a lot, but a small percentage did mix. But since Castro, most whites from Cuba came to the U.S. and the mulatto population on the island grew larger and became the majority today at 51%. Whites in Cuba are at 37% today, down from 74% in 1958, one year before Castro.

@Chuy005 Oye chico, most Cubans are white people. If you know anything about Latinos, is that Latinos come in different races. We have whites, blacks, Native Americans, Asians and Arabs. We have mixed races too like mestizo (Native American/white mix), mulato (white/black mix), zambo (Native American/black mix) and pardo (white, Native American, black mix) also known as Afro-mestizo in some countries. Hispanic is not a race, only culture. Pitbull is a white man.of Hispanic culture.

Most Cubans in Miami are white, descended from Europeans mainly from Spain, but also France, Ireland, Germany and Russia. The brown ones like most Mexicans are mestizos (mixed race Native American/white), but most Latin countries have white populations. Cuba in 1958, one year before Castro, was 74% whites. Most Cubans were white people.
