Praise God for Good News Clubs! It is so great to hear that children are being taught about sin and salvation.

I'm almost through with her book. She makes some good points about various bad actors, but she paints us all with a broad brush. I am a volunteer in a Good News Club, and we don't do any of the things she complains about, other than teach the entirely orthodox Christian doctrine that mankind is sinful and in need of a savior. She knows that any alarmist rhetoric about the "religious right" taking over the schools or the government or the kids will sell, so she demonizes us.

But this does not 'normalize indoctrination' as such, it just teaches Christianity. Being taught Christianity does not mean that you will think it good to kill off people you dislike. I had Christian teaching and nothing about it makes me think eclosing people then starving them is a good idea. His statements are not those of 'The Good News Club'.

And these children are educated, its happening after school. Although this effect works on people regardless, if they do not specifically know of it.

in the good news club i use to go to they said they are not christians because cathlicks

mormans and others say that they are christian so the people in good news club just said they are bible beleivers and i dont think good news club forces kids they let the kids do what they want if they want to accept they can the leaders are there for them.

You really are that ignorant of how pieces fit together. OK, normalize indoctrination, then normalize statements like this pastor: Search string: "pastor death gays" Check out the link regarding Curtis Knapp ... Then, turn it into supported, justifiable behavior, and you've arrived where the Taliban are, justified killing because some ancient book says so, and the Barnum effect (look it up) is so easy to exploit in the uneducated.

Hearing this does bring to mind something else that I've pondered upon as far as the education system in America in which it seems like a lot of these school systems essentially try to strip away a child's individuality. So, would it be safe to say that religion in schools is another bladed edge to that?
