We are a traditional English public house in Wash Water, just outside Newbury, Berkshire that serves good pub food most of which is homemade on our premises. We offer a wide variety of hot and cold meals to suit most people's requirements including a carvery as part of our Sunday lunch range. Bookings are taken for these and we strongly advise to do so.

Our bar stocks the finest real ales, wines and spirits, along with soft drinks for the non-drinkers. Bar snacks are also available.

Sky Sports offers our customers daily entertainment, football, rugby, cricket, golf and much more plus we have a dart board for the keen arrow throwers. Wi-fi internet access is also available at The Woodpecker Pub.

We benefit from having a large car park and we welcome parties. The pub also has a good sized beer garden, along with a separate decked smoking area and we have disabled access to the pub.
