  • If u have a quattro, why did u only put chains on the front wheels ?

  • maybe they grip better because the engine is right on top of them. more weight = more traction.

    just a thought.

  • TweekinOut, the problem with putting chains up front only is that if you are going downhill and your front wheels have more traction than the back wheels, the back of the car can slide while the front grips, possibly causing a spinout.

  • BMW xdrive could do that without chains

  • @spl3ndr car has to turn...

  • with a Quattro on snow chains you can climb the mount everest

  • maybe he only had 2

  • @juggernut7 quattro is AWD not FWD

  • why would you even need snow chains with quattro....

    ,i had an 95 a4 audi, 1.8 t quattro,he had 40 % - 60 % traction split.
