1939 Finland bombed by the Russians

December 1939. Soviet aircraft bomb Finnish towns following the outbreak of the Winter War [or Talvisota] between the USSR and Finland.

I have added English subtitles to this newsreel. Be aware, Finnish is not my first language [or even my second or third], so there may be a few small errors in transcription.

my relatives from Tallinn 80 km from Helsinki say they still remember the sound of bombs falling on Tallinn and one of them stole a rifle from the SS but broke it, one of them survived a artillery hit 3-4 m away, they are cool war stories
